One of the most awaited movies of 2024, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is all set to entertain the audience in a few months. Starring Allu Arjun in the lead role as Pushpa Raj, the movie will follow the story of the protagonist ruling the red sandalwood smuggling world. Apart from Arjun, fans are also excited to see Rashmika Mandanna reprise her role as Srivalli.
On the occasion of Rashmika’s birthday, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule unveiled her first poster as Srivalli. The look intrigued the audience as Srivalli’s intense expressions hinted at a role transformation. As the poster gave birth to many discussions among the viewers, Rashmika Mandanna recently opened up about her role in the sequel.
Rashmika Mandanna opens up about Srivalli’s character change in Pushpa 2
Rashmika Mandanna recently appeared in an interview with Lifestyle Asia India, where she talked about her character, Srivalli. The actress teased how Srivalli will see a transformation in the upcoming movie.
She revealed how it was difficult for her to understand the movie in the first film in the franchise. She said, “I didn’t really know my character Srivalli in Pushpa because I didn’t know the story, I didn’t know her as a character, I didn’t know how to play her, I didn’t know the world we were creating. I didn’t know anything. So, every day on set felt like visiting a playground.”
However, the case is not the same with the upcoming sequel. Rashmika Mandanna revealed that the movie will see a more sorted Srivalli. She said, “Srivalli in Pushpa 2 is someone super sorted. Now I know the world that we are living in, I know the character I’m playing, and now it’s Srivalli 2.0, I can say.”
Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the theaters on August 15, 2024.
