The movie is yet to go on the floors and the discussions around its cast is going on in the film circles. So far, several big names have come up for key roles in the movie, but its makers have yet to make an official announcement. Amid the chatters, two new names have come up to be cast in the movie. They are Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan.
Thalaivar 171 marks the first and official collaboration between Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The director’s last outing, Leo, was a massive success, and the same is expected with the upcoming movie. The director is keeping Thalaivar’s fans updated about the progress in the making of the film. It is currently in the pre-production phase and is expected to go on floors by June.
Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj’s roles in Thalaivar 171 revealed
It has been a long while since rumors about Thalaivar 171’s star cast have been making rounds. Earlier, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s name made rounds for a key role in the movie. Moreover, Rajinikanth was also rumored to reunite with Thalapathy actress Shobana after a decade. Now, the latest report by OTTplay has claimed that Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan have been roped in for crucial roles.
Thalaivary 171 will mark the second collaboration between Shruti Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj if the report is to be believed. The two were recently seen playing an on-screen couple in the music video Inimel. On the other hand, Sathyaraj reuniting with Rajinikanth would be interesting. The two shared the screen space during their early days in the Tamil cinema.
A previous report also claimed that Shah Rukh Khan will cameo in Thalaivar 171. However, no official announcement confirming his presence in the movie has been made yet.
