The Banished Former Hero episode 3 recap
The episode starts by showing Noelle’s past with Vanessa. In the present, Allen and Noelle confront the sleeping Fenrir. Noelle asks Allen to kill it, but he refuses because he doesn’t want to use his powers for revenge. She takes the sword and tries to stab it, but Allen warns her, telling her the sword she made wouldn’t hurt it.
Later, Allen meets Riese and Beatrice to inform them about Fenrir’s presence. They then explain that they came to Granholm to investigate people with ties to demons. Elsewhere, Mylene is shocked to find out her barrier was broken by Allen, whom Horace had called a nobody.
Meanwhile, Noelle reforges Allen’s sword, remembering when Fenrir and Horace killed Vanessa. After she finishes the blade, she takes it to the forest to attack Fenrir, but he dodges and pushes her away. Horace then appears, offering her a chance to serve him in exchange for her life, but she refuses. Allen arrives and is able to use the sword to kill Fenrir in a single strike.
Elsewhere, Riese and Beatrice are able to catch Mylene thanks to Allen’s spell to cancel invisibility. They all regroup back in Noelle’s cabin to discuss their plans. Noelle decides to take Mylene in, just as Vanessa did for her. Allen returns to the forest and launches a long-range attack towards Horace, but a demon sent by the Westfelts kills Horace. The episode ends with the demon accepting the mission to kill Riese and Noelle.
