Marvel Studios had a big presence at CinemaCon 2024 and revealed the first teaser of Captain America 4 at the event. But the footage was exclusively meant for the people present in the audience. It wasn’t meant to be released online for the world to watch.
What happened in CinemaCon’s Captain America: Brave New World footage?
CinemaCon’s Captain America: Brave New World teaser saw an attack on President Ross and other world leaders led by Super Soldiers including Isaiah Bradley.
The beginning of the trailer briefly sees Harrison Ford’s President Ross addressing his new moustache-less look. While speaking with Sam Wilson at the White House, he discusses rebuilding the Avengers team. Wilson brings up the matter of the team’s control once again.
In another scene, the President and other world leaders are attacked by Isaiah Bradley, who gets activated by music in the same way Winter Soldiers were activated with trigger words. He takes a security guard’s gun, kills him, and attacks Sam Wilson.
Meanwhile, President Ross is evacuated and other world leaders are shot at, resulting in total chaos in the White House. After Bradley escapes, Sam helps save the world leaders using his shield to block attacks. The footage ends with Ross telling Sam, “You’re not Steve Rogers,” to which he replies, “You’re right, I’m not.”
When will Marvel release the Captain America: Brave New World trailer online?
The first Captain America: Brave New World trailer is expected to be released online once it is played at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
Since Marvel Studios sat out of Comic-Con 2023, they are expected to give out a presentation this year. While the other trailers that Marvel shows at Comic-Con may not be released online, Captain America 4’s first official trailer most likely would, as it is the next film to come out after Deadpool & Wolverine.
Marvel’s usual presentation in Hall H happens on Saturdays. So with Comic-Con scheduled for Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28, 2024, we could get our first Brave New World trailer on July 27, 2024.
