The New Gate cast, plot and more
The anime is based on Shinogi Kazanami’s light novel and manga of the same name. The story takes place after the launch of The New Gate, a popular game that had trapped numerous players inside. Shin, one of the game’s top players, decides to fight the boss so that they can log out of the game. Ultimately, Shin manages to defeat the boss and save everyone.
However, as he tries to log out, he gets whisked away 500 years into the future inside the game. Now unable to log out again, Shin must clear the game and find his NPC allies from 500 years ago. Upon checking his old hideout, he finds Tiera, a student of one of his former allies. They travel together in hopes of finding her master and the rest of his allies.
The main cast of the anime includes Kenshō Ono, who stars as Shin, Kaede Hondo as Tiera Lucent and Asami Seto as Schnee Raizar. Additionally, Mika Okasaki will perform the ending song “Kanataboshi,” while Sou will perform the opening “Sekai wo Inuite.”
