The upcoming Wuxia C-drama Joy of Life Season 2 has finished filming and will meet viewers very soon. The drama recently became one of Tencent Video‘s top dramas to have the most number of reservations. Reservations refer to the number of people interested in an upcoming drama.
The drama features Zhang Ruo Yun in the lead role. It is part two of the Joy of Life trilogy. The first part of the drama came out in 2019 and was a huge success. It told the story of Fan Xian (Zhang Ruo Yun), who was born in Southern Qing. But the strange thing about him is that he has memories of the 21st century.
Fan Xian lives in a rural town with his grandmother. His mother, Ye Qing Mei, the founder of the Overwatch Department, was killed shortly after her son was born. Fan Xian’s father, the minister of Finance, abandoned him as well. His mother’s blind bodyguard, Wu Zhu, protects him.

Other than the lead actor, Joy of Life Season 2 will also feature Wu Gang, Li Qin, Chen Dao Ming, Tian Yu, Song Yi, Guo Qi Lin, Gina Jin, Li Qiang, Li Xiao Ran, Zhang Hao Wei, Liu Duan Duan, Yu Yang, Gao Shu Guang, Tong Meng Shi, Faye Yu, and Wang Chu Ran in pivotal roles. Sun Hao is the director of the drama, and Wang Juan has written it.
Joy of Life Season 2 will release a total of 30 episodes. The original broadcasting networks of the drama are CCTV, iQIYI, and Tencent Video.
