The WWE RAW after WrestleMania 40 was opened by Triple H, who introduced Cody Rhodes to the fans. Triple H stated that Cody Rhodes is the new face of the promotion, and he will take WWE into a new era. Moreover, he also showcased a special video for Rhodes.
The special video featured Cody Rhodes’ journey in WWE, from The Legacy to the Dashing Cody Rhodes, his departure for the indies and AEW, to his triumphant return to WWE in 2022, and his journey culminating in finishing the story this weekend at WrestleMania 40. Following the video, Rhodes, who was emotional, hugged Triple H.
Cody Rhodes took center stage, addressing his historic title win at WrestleMania 40. He talked about Roman Reigns’ 1,316-day title reign. Also, Rhodes acknowledged his accomplishments and called him the most important superstar of his generation. Rhodes then showed a video of his baby daughter, where she tells him to finish the story.
Just as Cody Rhodes was addressing his win, he was interrupted by The Rock, who came down to the ring. Rhodes and The Great One came face to face, with Rhodes holding the WWE Championship and The Rock holding the People’s Championship. Muhammad Ali’s family presented this title to him at the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Rock descended into the ring and congratulated Cody Rhodes for his win, despite all the odds, in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 40. He also stated that Dusty Rhodes, Cody’s father, would be proud of him.
After praising Rhodes, The Great One created an awkward moment by expressing his desire to hold the WWE Championship. They then agreed to exchange titles, as The Rock wanted to hold the one Cody had just won since it was a belt he had never held before. As fans chanted, “This is awkward,” he placed it on his shoulder.
After this moment, The Rock announced that he would be taking some time away from WWE to shoot a movie. However, he issued a warning to Cody Rhodes that when he returns, he’ll be coming after Rhodes.
He concluded the promo by stating that while Rhodes’ story with Roman Reigns may have ended, their story has just begun. The encounter ended with The Rock giving Cody something and placing it in his hand. He said. “Don’t you ever break my heart again”, leaving the ring.
