The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode 31 on April 4, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) and Shen Li (Zhao Liying) discussing Fu Sheng. They decide to let go of all sorts of restraints and engage in an intimate physical relationship. Xing Zhi promises Shen Li to always stay by her side. Shen Li wonders if her powers have come back as she feels stronger than before. Xing Zhi asks Shen Li to stop blaming herself as he can finally see what is important to him.
Shen Li asks him that it is not right for him to go crazy as the lives of the three realms depend on him alone. Xing Zhi recalls the incident of puppet-like creatures discharging miasma and relates it to an old incident of chimeis appearing in the immortal realm. Liuming, the previous lord of the immortal realm, created thousands of chimeis, and they caused chaos.
Shen Li recalls the incident of the demon fox that took the lives of many of her soldiers. They conclude that Fu Sheng is behind the puppets, and his methods are not to be taken lightly. They agree that Fu Sheng’s ultimate goal is the Xutian Abyss.

Meanwhile, Fu Sheng’s army collects the demon dust from the Xutian Abyss to create more chimeis. Shen Li wants to report these findings to Shen Mu Yue, the current lord of the immortal realm, for countermeasures. But Xing Zhi feels that Mu Yue is hiding something from Shen Li.
But Shen Li has complete faith in her master. She tells Xing Zhi that she is even ready to sacrifice her life for Mu Yue. Meanwhile, Ms. Jin enters the seal to get Shen Li and Xing Zhi out of there. After Jin leaves, another danger awaits them. They are greeted by Mo Fang, who is possessed by Fu Sheng’s spirit.
In episode 31 of The Legend of Shen Li, Shen Li has completely emerged with the azure pearl in her core and is stronger than ever. She stops Xing Zhi from taking any action as he is sick and goes head-on against Mo Fang alone. She bravely fights him and almost takes him down. But he manages to escape at the last moment. Xing Zhi asks Shen Li to go after him.
Fu Sheng tries to manipulate Mo Fang by saying that Shen Li intends to kill him and that she doesn’t care about him. Meanwhile, Xing Zhi finds him hiding behind a tree. He tells Mo Fang that Shen Li has always had a soft heart and she will show him mercy. Mo Fang shows him why he fell in love with Shen Li.
As kids, Mo Fang and Shen Li did not get along. Mo Fang despised her for being born into privilege. Shen Li’s adoptive mother, Mo Yue, was cruel to her, too. It was only after Shen Li risked her own life to save him from a fatal attack at the battle that he realized her value.
