They concoct scams to make money, and generally try to stay out of jail, which seems to be easier said than done. As the boys try their damndest to go straight, the temptation to do otherwise is never fair away, which is why it is one of the best stoner TV series.
High Maintenance
An interesting perspective in this HBO comedy. High Maintenance provides a glimpse into the homes and routines of eccentric New Yorkers through a common thread: their weed deliveryman.
The Guy (Ben Sinclair) has quite the client base in High Maintenance, showing the wide and varied pool of people who enjoy (or simply need) weed.
Disjointed
A short-lived sitcom from Chuck Lorre and David Javerbaum saw Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates as ‘’The Queen of Cannabis’’ Ruth Whitefeather Feldman, who employs the help of her graduate son and a selection of young pot aficionados to run her L.A. marijuana dispensary.
It’s a slow burner as sitcoms go and got nipped in the bud by Netflix just as it was hitting its stride, but its 20 half-hour episodes are a fine accompaniment to a bit of downtime on high.
Cooked with Cannabis
Netflix cooked up another in a long list of cooking competition shows, but of course, this one comes with a particularly obvious twist. Kelis and Leather Storrs host the show, where a $10,000 prize is on offer for three budding chefs who must make cannabis-infused meals.
It’s about what you’d expect of a Netflix cooking competition and features guests such as Michael Rapaport, Flula Borg, and Mary Lynn Rajskub. But it might just inspire you to concoct some special goodies of your own.
Broad City
Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson’s riotous shenanigans pretty much all stem from the most mundane events, and the results are always hilarious in this comedy series. New York’s Rogue’s Gallery of Oddballs compliments the absurd stories these two underachievers find themselves in.
One early episode also offers a somewhat unique way to store your leafy goods. However, it also shows a potential drawback if not carefully applied.
I Think You Should Leave
It’s not a show explicitly about weed, but there’s a certain tone to I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson that makes it a great fit for a mellow afternoon’s watching.
Not that it’s exactly relaxing. ITYSL sees Robinson and company fill 15-minute episodes with the most ludicrous dregs of humanity in sketch form. It’s a certain kind of funny that is definitely accentuated by a little herbal influence.
