Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the South Park: Joining the Panderverse Blu-ray and DVD release date for the latest special of the long-running animated sitcom, which first debuted on Paramount+ back in October 2023.
South Park: Joining the Panderverse will be available for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD starting on June 11. The 49-minute-long special is executive produced by co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II.
“Cartman’s deeply disturbing dreams portend the end of the life he knows and loves. The adults in South Park are also wrestling with their life decisions as the advent of AI is turning their world upside down,” reads the logline.
What is South Park about?
“South Park follows a group of unruly Colorado kids, Cartman, Kenny, Stan, and Kyle, along with their outrageous and colorful town, through all of their foul-mouthed adventures — while never shying away from controversial social and political topics.”
The series is co-created and executive produced by Matt Stone and Trey Parker It is also executive produced by Anne Garefino, and Frank C. Agnone II. It features the voices of Parker, Stone, April Stewart, and Mona Marshall. It has been on-air for more than 20 seasons since its debut in 1997. During its run, it has garnered a number of awards including five Emmy awards and a Peabody award in 2005.
