Ahsoka: Dave Filoni Addresses Baylan Skoll’s Future

Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, who was recently promoted as Lucasfilm‘s Chief Creative Officer, addressed if Baylan Skoll’s story will continue following Ray Stevenson‘s sudden passing last May 21.

Speaking with Vanity Fair, Filoni recalled what it was like working with Stevenson, revealing that the late actor would have loved knowing about the positive things that fans have been saying about his character.

“Obviously, there’s a story there,” Filoni teased. “We’re in a wait-and-see pattern at this point. But I’m glad the conversation is about Ray and how great he was. I used to have mini debates with him and say, ‘Ray, you’re the villain here.’ And he’d be like, ‘I don’t think so.’ I was like, ‘I know you don’t think so, but you are. I love that you’re playing it like you’re not.’ Which is exactly the way Baylan thinks. I think he would’ve been over the moon [on the fan reception]. The big regret here is that he didn’t get to experience that.”

Who’s in Ahsoka?

Ahsoka was written and executive produced by Dave Filoni, best known for his work on fan-favorite Star Wars animated shows The Clone Wars and Rebels. The series stars Rosario Dawson as the former Jedi Knight, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, and Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as the voice of Huyang, and more.
