In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, when asked about the possibility of returning for Kill Bill 3, Oscar nominee Uma Thurman revealed that the project has indeed been discussed before. However, the Pulp Fiction actress went on to admit that she doesn’t see it being made in the near future because discussions about the long-awaited threequel have died down for a while now.
“There was real thought about it happening,” Thurman said (via Deadline). “I don’t see it as immediately on the horizon. I hate to disappoint people. Everybody wishes it would be the case, but I think it’s not immediately on the horizon.”

The possibility of Kill Bill 3 has been teased for the past years by Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino, who has been opened about his ideas for the third installment. Last year, he once again entertained the idea by revealing that he would like the potential project to be led by Thurman and her real-life daughter Maya Hawke, who would play the role of The Bride’s daughter, B.B.
Released in 2003, Volume 1 featured Thurman in one of her most recognizable roles as The Bride. It was then followed by Volume 2 in 2004, which had also earned critical and commercial success.

Thurman will next be seen in Showtime’s upcoming anthology drama Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber. The series will actually reunite her with Tarantino, who has recently been cast as the first season’s narrator.
